Shows and Exhibits

We have participated in Art Festivals and shows since 1990.  The Ambiance of the Southwest has made a significant impact on our work.  It has given us our Southwest Spirit.

The experience of having been docents at the Antelope Valley Indian Museum has impacted our art with the love, respect, and appreciation of these cultures.

In 1993, we became intrigued by gourds which primitive peoples worldwide have used for countless centuries as ceremonial, aesthetic, ritualistic, right of passage, musical instruments, as well as utilitarian.

It is with intent to blend the earthly and spiritual qualities of the gourd with our art.  It is our desire to invoke, through the creative process, originality and intrinsic value to make our art timeless.  This has been the focus and thrust of our art.

We have won numerous awards, given classes, demonstrations, been featured on our local TV channel and have had several highlights in local newspapers.

We served as directors of the Palmdale Visual Arts program, and as the Inland Empire coordinators of the California Gourd Society.

Our gourds have traveled around the world  and now live in many foreign countries.

The gourd is a very unique and oftentimes difficult canvas, BUT, always intriguing.

We look forward to incorporating this natural and lovely medium into yet unexplored avenues.
